Aviation
Industries of Iran
(A.I.I) affiliated to Iran
Industrial Development and Renovation organization (IDRO) and
the Ministry of Industries and Mining , has been established
with the aim of development of aviation industries in civil
sector.
A.I.I
has based its activities on setting up the
infrastructure industries for manufacturing aircrafts and
promoting aviation culture.
The company commenced its official activities in Apr 1993.
The goal was to develop the aviation industries by relying
on domestic experts , researchers and industrialists for the
technological growth and taking part in joint - venture
programs with well reputed companies.
Since beginning of its activities, A.I.I has
successfully performed two projects in designing and
manufacturing of a
sailplane
and a
two-seater light airplane.
Both airplanes have received JAR-22 and
JAR-VLA certification respectively.
A
joint program scheme with P.Z.L of Poland was planed to
manufacture of M18-B Dromader Ag airplane. The first unit is
delivered to the customer.
In
1998 A.I.I started to construct its own airport
named Azadi and it was completed in year 2000.
Azadi airport
covers an area of 75 hectares with necessary facilities and
hangers. AII’s manufacturing plants are based in this airport
.
At the
present the following programs are under development.
Planning
a Joint-Venture program for manufacturing of a 19-seat
commuter airplane .
Establishment
of an International Flight Training Center to fulfill the
market demands for trained pilots and high skill aviation
manpower .
Technology
transfer of a 6-seat airplane .
Manufacturing
of two or three types of different of helicopters in a joint
venture scheme with well known companies.
